In an age of string theory, fluid dynamics and biophysics, it can seem as if the science of our world is only for specialists and academics. Let this not be so with the ever advancing field of Science Communication. We must not forget that all science has its roots firmly planted in the fundamental concepts of any field and the experiences of the everyday are not the infinitely small or the immensely large. Science is for everybody – if you let it be.
The accessibility of podcasts, in my opinion, makes them one of the most powerful tools for science communicators to connect with their audience and for the public to engage with science. They provide a passive way of learning, perfect for the drive to work or a workout at the gym. As part of an Ace Podcast Network initiative, we aim to provide a central hub for science communication podcasts. A place for you to learn about new shows of science and philosophy & to provide a community of science communicators to engage with an active audience.
We are currently developing this division of Vaguely Accurate. If you are interested in joining the network, please get in touch. Below will hold the on-demand radio shows that have reached out to join Vaguely Accurate – Science Podcasting.
